EIGHT TENTS. EIGHT STORIES.

Every tent at Visama Explorer Nan has its own name.

Six are named after the national parks that protect Nan’s forests, mountains and rivers -places that define the landscapes you’ll explore during your stay. The remaining two occupy the camp’s highest vantage points, where the first and last light of the day are best enjoyed. We simply call them Sunrise and Sunset.

While every tent offers the same thoughtful comfort and generous space, each has its own outlook, its own character and its own connection to the valley.

01 KHUN NAN (ขุนน่าน)

Close to the creek and just a short stroll from MonManee Restaurant, Khun Nan features twin beds and, for friends and families, the option to connect your stay with neighbouring Tham Sakoen. Like the remote national park it is named after, this corner of the camp feels closely connected to water, with the gentle sound of the creek accompanying your stay.

02 THAM SAKOEN (ถ้ำสะเกิน)

Set beside a magnificent bamboo grove, Tham Sakoen offers a peaceful setting where rustling bamboo and flowing water provide the soundtrack to the day. It’s a wonderful choice for guests who enjoy being close to nature while remaining within easy walking distance of the restaurant and camp facilities

03 MAE CHARIM (แม่จริม)

Tucked behind the majestic bamboo grove, Mae Charim enjoys one of the camp’s most intimate settings. Although close to the neighbouring tents, clever positioning creates a greater sense of privacy, while the creek remains the focus from your veranda. It’s a quiet place to read, reflect or simply watch the valley unfold.

04 NANTHABURI (นันทบุรี)

Located a little further into the camp near The Ambalama, Nanthaburi offers easy access to the social heart of Visama while retaining a peaceful outlook. The creek is never far away, and the surrounding Lynchee trees create a pleasant sense of seclusion between the day’s adventures and the evening gathering around the fire.

05 SI NAN (ศรีน่าน)

Young mountain pines frame the garden of Si Nan, giving this tent a distinctive highland character. With views that combine both the more distant creek and the surrounding mountains, it offers a lovely balance between landscape and water. As evening falls, the changing light across the valley is particularly rewarding. The name reflects Si Nan National Park, known for its sweeping views, sea of mist and remarkable night skies.

06 DOI PHU KA (ดอยภูคา)

Doi Phu Kha enjoys uninterrupted mountain views from a gentle hillside position, surrounded by young pines that are indigenous to the highlands. Guests looking for wide-open scenery without climbing to the uppermost tents often find this to be the perfect choice. Its name honours Nan’s largest national park, celebrated for its mountain landscapes and exceptional biodiversity.

07 ARUN (อรุณ)

The highest point in the camp welcomes the first light of the day. From your veranda, the valley gradually awakens as morning mist lifts from the surrounding hills and Laos beyond. Arun, the Thai word for dawn, is an ideal choice for early risers and anyone who enjoys beginning the day with a quiet cup of coffee and an uninterrupted mountain view.

08 SAYAM (สายัณห์)

Our most secluded tent, Sayam looks west across the valley, where the changing colours of late afternoon gradually give way to dusk. It’s a peaceful place to end the day, whether with a book on the veranda or simply watching the last light fade behind the mountains.
